  • ADDED FOLDERS FEATURE! Admins can view all users' folders in the "All Files" page. Drag n Drop files or folders into folders. Drag n Drop files to other users' folders and if not shared already, the system shares the file to them. Move multiple files into a folder by checking the select icon at the right of a file listing and then choose "Add to Folders" from the "Actions" button. When moving to another user's folder, this will share to them as well. Remove files by dropping into "All files".
  • The files listing updates VERY FAST using Ajax when sorting, clicking a folder, etc.
    • Page load times are 50% - 75% less than before.
  • Added an interface setting to justify the file name in the list (left or center).
  • Improved download/preview notifications & clearing.
    • Does not show notifications for a logged in admin.
    • Clearing of notifications using the "eye" icon is fast and immediate without page refresh.
  • Improved File Edit & Sharing using Ajax.
    • The whole page doesn't refresh after submitting.
    • More detailed feedback, especially after sharing to users.
    • Fixed an issue where a regular user who is enabled to share to users can't share to a file owner.
  • Improved search function.
    • Results appear instantly while typing.
    • Now the search is case-INsensitive! Changed file_name & file_description collation type in the database.
  • Adjusted the audio player displaying better when clicking preview button for an audio file.
    • Doesn't reset the page when clicking and automatically plays/pauses on open/close.
  • Cleaned up "Date" on files.
    • Now shows X seconds ago, X minutes ago, Today at XX:XX, Yesterday at XX:XX, DAY OF WEEK at XX:XX, or Month Day Year depending on how old the file is.
  • Updated CSS.
    • File names will default to black. Change in Site Settings > Cusom CSS with the example in that tab.
    • Updated the uploader border color to match themes.
  • Updated the FTP Upload functions.
    • Some servers don't like a single connection with multiple large uploads for some reason.
    • Now the function will close and start a new connection for EACH file uploading to that server.
    • Still using the queuing method where it only uploads one file at a time per server. Helps when sending to many servers, ie: a group share.
    • Fixed "cancelling" uploads for files in the particular "upload session" per user share.
      • MUCH faster cancelling if need be.
      • No emails will send if ALL files for that session are cancelled. Only person cancelling will know.
      • This allows you to retry silently to the user if there's problems.
      • Emails WILL send if there is a failed or completed file in the list with alternative download links.
  • Added page names to the title that shows up in the browser's tab.
  • New notifications! (Using PNotify library.)
    • Check them out at the top right of the screen after sharing, deleting, etc.
    • Upload complete desktop notification for Chrome & Safari Desktop browsers.
      • Users will need to allow permission for this the first time it shows.
  • Adjusted the uploader for Admin, Users & Public.
    • Added a desktop notification upon upload complete.
      • ONLY works for Chrome and Safari Desktop browsers for now.
      • If you get prompted for permission, allow it for your domain and it'll work for all future instances.
      • You can be browsing other pages and be notified when the upload is complete.
    • Set the upload chunks to 1MB instead of 2 so updates happen faster and minimizes problems with users that have a 2MB upload limit in php.ini.
    • Set the retries to 1 per second @ 60 times (1 hour) if the connection drops.
      • This will end up being an advanced system setting in the next update.
  • Updated FAQ page and created one for Admin's too.

    • Add "retry" function to FTP failed or cancelled uploads.
    • Public sharing of folders.
    • Set a pre-determined folder for a public upload invitation.
    • Set a folder to "upload to" when uploading file(s).
    • Recursive delete of subfolders.
    • AJAX more pages--user shares, site settings, users, groups, etc.
      • This makes things load faster. Submit forms without full page refresh, etc.
